SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS

Plan your visit. Explore the Missions along the River Walk’s Mission Reach, an eight mile stretch with recreational trails, pedestrian bridges, pavilions and portals to four Spanish colonial missions—Concepción, San José, San Juan and Espada. Download the Drive, Bike, Bus guide here.

Or, visit the park’s visitor’s center at Mission San José to catch a rotating film, “Gente de Razon,” to brush up on the Mission’s rich history. What’s more is all four mission churches still boast active Catholic parishes that hold regular services. All churches are open to visitors during regular park hours.

THE PEARL

Pearl: local flavor since 1883. Located just north of downtown San Antonio, Pearl provides a unique experience as a top culinary and cultural destination. THE WITTE MUSEUM

Nature, science and culture meet at The Witte Museum. Massive exhibits of dinosaurs, People of the Pecos and Texas Wild, and other rotating exhibits fill the recently renovated space with history, storytelling and interactive, family-friendly fun. Located on the banks of the San Antonio River, the museum’s backdrop is picturesque and ideal for small and large events alike. A catalyst of the Broadway Cultural Corridor, the museum is a San Antonio arts and culture staple with a 300-year old history that contributes to the city’s rich cultural legacy. THE DOSEUM

Experience the next generation of interactive education at The DoSeum. Designed and constructed with a thoughtful, sustainable approach, The DoSeum’s features are both kid and environmentally friendly. The museum is a safe place for children to get inspired and tap into their creativity and curiosity to learn and play with purpose. The majority of the exhibits at The DoSeum boast a science, technology, and mathematics (STEM) focus, which integrates with literacy and creative arts concepts. Feature favorite exhibits (that rotate regularly) include: an interactive robot named Baxter, a spy academy filled with math challenges, an interactive puppet parade, a musical staircase, a Children’s River, and a significant outdoor space with plenty of water features, shade, and an ADA-accessible treehouse.

SIX FLAGS, FIESTA TEXAS
